Our trip to the Staffordshire Regiment Museum was based around our WW2 topic, however, at the end of the day we were allowed to explore and experience the replica WW1 trenches that have been recently made. When we were in the trenches we read a verse of the poem called ‘The Fallen’ by Robert Laurence Binyon (1869-1943), published in The Times newspaper on 21stSeptember 1914.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
It was really fun wish I could go again.
